While we were up in Springfield for Christmas, it also snowed 5-6 inches on Christmas Day! I can't remember the last time I really got to experience a white Christmas. Not only did I have a good time with the snow, but so did Carson and Winston.

Christmas Morning 2009
This past Christmas we were able to spend it with John's parents Springfield, Illinois. And boy, was our family spoiled and Carson was the worst. (I can't really say much because I was just as bad at buying her stuff) We did have an amazing Christmas though. Presents took up have the living room!!!

Carson got some really neat toys and Santa was very good to her. Santa brought her a brand new dollhouse and all the accessories. She also received a bunch of Fancy Nancy books, accessories and puzzles. For those of my friends reading this and have little girls either you know about her or I recommend you go out and buy her books!!! They are just fabulous!!!

And because the Fancy Nancy puzzle was 100 pieces, Aunt Jenn and I had to work really hard together to put it together.

2nd Annual Ugly Christmas Sweater Party
My friend Beth and I for the second year planned a lovely holiday party that is now becoming quite the Christmas Party trend, The Ugly Christmas Sweater Party. We love it, because you get to dress up and look like a complete idiot and be proud of it, because you know there is prize if you look your "best." Now we have expanded out Christmas Sweater Party to really just include anything that is corny Christmas wear. I set an example this year of wearing not only a sweater, but an ugly Christmas dress.

The thing I love the most about this party is that my husband, John, really gets into it. He likes to go all out. So to match my lovely looking dress, he likes to pull out the woman's Christmas sweater with a big teddy bear on it, some jingle bells and bows and one huge Christmas tree. And sense this is a classy event, he even pulls out the dress slacks to make sure every one takes him seriously because is serious on this night. The best thing about that night though, was that we went to Wal-Mart dressed like this and not one person took a second look at us. We fit right in. I even got a compliment.

And here are some other participants in this fine Holiday party:

Santa
For the life of me I cannot find the pictures of Carson with Santa...what kind of mom am I? A good mom would probably rush home and scan the picture that was taken there. But not me, I have lost it. So in place, because Carson looked so darn cute that night, here are some pictures of her before she went to go see Santa.

I don't think she could look any more grumpy than she does in that picture.
In the process of uploading that picture I found some pictures that I took while she was with Santa. Yay! I am no that bad of a mom!!!

And one more for good measure:

Rewind...November 28, 2009
I will start with John and I celebrated our one year anniversary in Nashville, TN. We went out for a nice dinner on Saturday the 28th of November.

We actually spent our anniversary at the Titans game in Nashville. I got to see my fantasy football hero, Chris Johnson play an amazing game.

It was just a amazing weekend. I got to hang out with my best friend and do super fun things that we usually don't get to do any more because he is always traveling and not having easy access to babysitters makes things harder as well. I am and was very thankful to my parents who were able to watch Carson that weekend while we went to Nashville. Time alone, is something that John and I cherish very much because we don't get much of it any more. Please believe me when I say I am not complaining, but you have to admit it is nice to hang out alone with the one you love...so you can make more children to get in your way of a lone time. HA!

Oh blogging....
I have fallen so far behind on the whole blogging world. I will take the time to read all of my friend's blogs, but completely ignore my own. What makes things worse is that every night I tell myself, "When Carson goes to bed, I am going to blog the hell out of myself." Then it never happens. It is an awful cycle. Maybe by me just even writing this blog will motivate me to go home tonight and upload new videos and pictures. We will see...to be continued.....
