Pumpkin Patch

Over the weekend, John, Carson and I were able to make the trip out to Chesterfield, Missouri to Rombach's Pumpkin Patch. We were thinking we were being smart by going right around 12, hoping that maybe a lot of people would still be at the 11:00 church services and just making their way home. But that was not the case....at all! Rombach's was just as crowded as it ever is, this time of year. It was even a cloudy and chilly day, but that didn't stop half of West County!

Even though half of West County seemed to be there in their parking lots, it wasn't too bad once you got inside. We decided to let Carson look around and pick out a pumpkin that she liked.

We told her that pumpkin was too big. So we decided to move on to smaller pumpkins that are more her size. And we found a lot. She finally decided on a nice little pumpkin for herself.

Next we needed to get at least one family picture before we picked out a pumpkin for mommy and daddy. We were lucky to find a very nice person to volunteer to take our family picture in front of the huge pumpkin pyramid.

Then it was on to find just the right pumpkin for mommy and daddy...I guess in reality it would be our family pumpkin.

Even with the clouds, crowd and by the end some rain, we had an amazing time at the pumpkin patch.

Behind the Times

I have been putting off putting together a blog website for my family for about four or five months now, but I have finally gotten myself into gear and have started one. Now...the hard part...what do people want to know about me and my family?

I read this on a friend's blog (Thanks Erika!), things should be kept light and simple, so I guess I will just keep things pretty basic. John and I have been married for almost one whole year now! And we have a wonderful daughter who just turned three in August and a fabulous dog who turned 7, also in August.

Our daughter, Carson Olivia, is just full of herself. I am sure, some people are like, "Carson, for a girl?" and we actually meaning behind that name. When I was pregnant with Carson, my Aunt was fascinated with the whole "Bennifer" and "Bradgelina" phase and she decided that our baby needed a name like that. So she took the first syllable of my last name "Car" and the last syllable of John's last name "son" and so we have Carson. I know it might be somewhat of a stretch, but it does mean something to John and I and I guess that is all that matters.
