Pretty Princess - Halloween 2009

This year was Carson's first year she could really pick out her own costume and she was determined to be a princess, Sleeping Beauty to be exact. Mommy was really hoping she wanted to be Fancy Nancy, but I totally lost that battle. Trying to argue with a child of an attorney and some who tends to argue just in general...you are going to get one stubborn child.

Carson was able to were her dress to school on Friday. They were having a whole school Halloween party and a little parade. I remember having those parades in elementary school, but I don't think they do them any more. Anyways...in my effort to be better at taking pictures, I took my camera to her school to get pictures of her and her friends. I didn't get them all because some of them were busy eating breakfast. Food comes first. I don't blame them!

She had a great time at the school party and was ready for Saturday. John and I decided to make Saturday her special day. We took her to see her first movie at the Theaters. We took her to see "Where the Wild Things Are." And she loved it! She wasn't scared at all! The only time she was upset and cried was at the end of the movie when it was over. She didn't understand and she missed the "Wild Things."

After we got home we put her down for a nap so she would be ready to go trick-o-treat after dinner. And boy, was she ever! Here are the rest of the pictures from Saturday night! She had a big night and lots of candy!
